Hamilton is a city of contrasts and transitions. From the industrial sector to Cootes Paradise and the escarpment, to the redevelopment of the downtown and suburban expansion on the mountain. The Keddy Trail is symbolic of this, and an important development in creating safe access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Rooted in the iconography of historic representations of mythic creatures, the work is an open-ended and nonliteral response to the interdependence between society and the natural world.
